Colin - technical writer, illustrator, Flash developer
Colin originally earned a technical trade certificate with QANTAS. Since then, he has obtained a BA (Communication), which he earned at night school.
He has been writing for over 20 years, with 5 years concurrent electronic design. Colin is also an accomplished illustrator and multimedia developer. He produced one of the first interactive multimedia installations in Sydney for the Third International Experimental Audio exhibition. He has worked as a technical writing contractor for many famous companies and also many small high-tech companies.
Colin has used many computer software packages, including all of the MS Office products and all popular help authoring tools. He was a beta tester for CorelDraw, RoboHelp and Adobe Acrobat. He has received awards for technical publications, online help and technical art and has presented at various conferences, discussing his original research in usability and content management.
Spare time is hard to come by, but when he can Colin likes to take his boat out fishing on the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney.
Other interests include bicycling, skiing and swimming.
